Building something from scratch.

Building something from scratch

Love what you do, do what you love.

I really like working with my clients. I like knowing about them, I love learning about different industries, I love the new problems they bring me. The financial world — taxes, accounting, business, insurance, investments, is so large and so complex. And people have to make decisions every day that have life changing impacts on them and their family. I think that providing clear, concise and honest guidance during those times is a valuable service. A service that is only becoming more important for everyone to have.

Building a financial relationship.

I've spent over ten years giving people advice on more areas and in more ways than I can count. Good advice, the core of my business, is about a relationship. A good, in-depth and ongoing relationship. All the technical knowledge in the world counts for nothing if you don't understand the unique situation that people and businesses are in. Delivering this custom and all-inclusive advice is my pleasure and my skill.

Building on principles.

I took all these things into account when I designed how my business would work. I looked at the directions the industry is going and what the customers of the next ten years will be demanding. And then I tried to jump ahead to build something for the future. I wanted to "not play" in the current flawed industry, and build something from scratch — on principles that I and my customers believe in. I do not want to try to make the best of a lousy situation. This means that many things will change — and how we work together will be very different from what most people who have worked with a CPA, financial planner, and/or consultant experienced.
